EPC Statement

Villa Bossi-Pucci’s commitment to the environment and reducing Its Co2 footprint began in our early development stages, it is very much embedded in our vision.

Care of the environment and the impact of the buildings were taken into account during the planning and building phases of our residencies. We sourced local materials, such as cotto bricks, pietra serena, pilloli, and cypress beams. These local resources combined with the skills of local artisans (who have used there techniques in the region for centuries) are embedded into the characteristic and unique experience of Villa Bossi-Pucci.

Each dwelling of the club takes full advantage of our commitment. The rain water is collected from roofs and is used for irrigation of the club’s extensive gardens.

All properties are connected to our self contained, underground sewage system, which is designed to produce clean water. The insulation in the roofs and wall cavities of our properties is of a very high standard, and has been carefully planned with a view of keeping our members (and their guests) cool in the summer, and warmer during the cooler seasons.

To validate the outcome of our commitment, Villa Bossi-Pucci has commissioned an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) by an independent, UK expert (Green Grid UK) The Draft assessment is based on a two bed duplex, number 404 which is facing the valley.

The result of the assessment shows the club dwelling has an Energy Efficiency Rating in the high 70's (C 77), and a similar Environmental Impact (CO2) Rating. This is a very favorable outcome in relation to the equivalent UK property (D 35). We feel this assessment is a indication of our ongoing commitment and responsibility to the environment.
